Perhaps you fancy a relaxing cruise on
the Canal du
Midi, for the day. In this way you can discover many
interesting villages with a minimum of effort.
Bikes
Should you want to explore the countryside
in a more
energetic way you can hire a bicycle at the top of our road.
Beaches
There are many extensive sandy beaches
less than
half an hour's drive from the house. This one is at
Gruissan Plage. Showers are provided.
Picnic
There is an extensive grassy area with
many large trees for shade, on the left bank of the river Cesse
at Le Val de Cesse, just 10 min drive from the house.
River swimming is very safe for children.
Walks
There are many interesting walks in and
around
Sallèles. This one is along the part of the canal
lined with umbrella pines.
